SCOTTSBLUFF – Today, Congressman Adrian Smith (NE-03) celebrates the endorsement of Ranchers for Adrian, a group of one hundred seventy cattle producers from Nebraska’s Third Congressional District. Ranchers for Adrian joins the growing list of endorsements for the only proven conservative candidate ahead of Nebraska’s May 12th primary election.

“Nebraska is the Beef State, and I am grateful to have the backing of so many ranchers and farmers as I work to champion Nebraska’s number one industry in Congress. With the House passage of the Farm Bill and continued progress on fair trade agreements with Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and other international partners, I am proud to work alongside President Trump and Republicans in Congress to deliver results for Nebraska agriculture.

“But my work is far from over. As producers recover from this spring’s historic wildfires, I remain committed to ensuring they have the tools and support they need to rebuild and succeed. On the Ways and Means Committee, I will continue advancing pro-growth tax policies that help independent, producer-owned beef processors like Sustainable Beef in North Platte thrive.

Smith currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Trade. Smith also serves as a chairman of the Congressional Biofuels Caucus, the Congressional Modern Agriculture Caucus, the Congressional Rural Caucus, and is founding chair of the Congressional Modern Agriculture Caucus, where he works to educate his colleagues on the importance of cutting-edge methods used by Nebraska producers to feed and fuel our nation and the world. The Third District covers 80 of Nebraska’s 93 counties. Congressman Smith and his wife Andrea, along with their two children, reside in Gering.
