The One, Big, Beautiful Bill, signed into law by President Trump on the 4th of July provided funding for thousands of items, but did not address year-round sales of E-15.
During a news conference earlier this week, Nebraska third-district Congressman Adrian Smith said the topic needs to be addressed at another time, but that there is bipartisan support in both the House and Senate.
“We’re seeing expanding support for this, especially, I should add, among our liquid-fuel partners, where it’s a great combination to have petroleum products blended with a biofuel product; that’s what helps us get this done,” Smith said.
He added while he’s heading up year-round E-15 in the House, Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer is leading the way in the Senate.
